In this online lecture I share the polyvagal theory of Dr. Stephen Porges. I explain the importance of the vagus nerve as part of our Autonomic Nervous System (ANS) and its relationship to our mental, physical and emotional well-being. I describe how our ANS functions and how its state changes depending on our neuroception, and I share different ways of activating/inducing the "vagus state of beeing", i.e. what kind of therapies (p. e.g. Core Energetics, Bioenergetics, Somatic Experience, the SSP- Safe & Sound Protocol, etc.), methods (e.g. Wim Hof Method) or things I can do to increase my ability to relax and feel safe.
